Meze Empyrean Exclusive All Black Edition. For sale is the exclusive All black version of the Meze Empyrean in fantastic condition. Ordered in June 2022, left the factory in July (see owners card in images) arrived in August, these have not been in my possession for very long and, due to having many other headphones and speakers vying for my attention, theyve seen relatively little use. As Im about to be moving house (and preparing for all the unforeseen costs I know that will bring), Im looking to significantly reduce the number of prized possessions I have to pack up and hence, due mainly to time constraints, Ive decided to make sacrifices in the headphone department. I cant see any visible ownership marks on the headphones. The Alcantara pads are brand new as I just prefer the look and feel of leather. Comes with the stock 6.35mm cable which I find perfectly adequate (actually the best stock cable Ive ever come across). Meze have just released an angled version of the Alcantara pad that is supposed to provide an even more spacious, linear and detailed sound which brings its performance closer to the Elite. IMHO, the performance with the stock leather pads is absolutely outstanding if you like warmer headphones such as ZMF and Audeze. Factoring in the build and comfort, best headphones Ive ever owned, easily. Will dispatch next day with next day insured delivery. Collection could potentially be negotiated depending in location.

Der Kopfhörer wurde vor zwei Jahren bei der Headphone Company in Heidelberg gekauft und nur selten genutzt. Deutsche Vertriebsware!!! Über den Klang wurde schon alles geschrieben. Im Netz finden sich sehr viele Test. Er ist wohl der Kopfhörer, der in den letzten Jahren am meisten positiv bewertet wurde. Er klingt für mich schön ausgewogen, detailreich und hat einen hervorragenden Bass. Definitiv aber kein Basshead!! Das Meze Silver Kabel kostet in der Regel 400 € zusätzlich. Die Originalkabel sind nicht dabei. Sind aber auch kein Vergleich zum Upgrade Kabel. Wer den Kopfhörer mal mit den Upgrade Kabel gehört hat, nutzt sie eh nicht mehr. Der Kopfhörer ist einfach zu betreiben. Von der Headphone Company wird er mit den teueren Astell Kern DAP verkauft. Insofern ist der erste Eindruck perfekt und der Werbetext lügt nicht. Man merkt, dass sich die Jungs aus Rumänien ins Zeug gelegt haben. Man merkt, dass Meze der Überzeugung ist nur ein gesamtheitlich perfektes Produkt - bezüglich Klang und Verarbeitung - kann den Kunden überzeugen. Ganz falsch ist dieser Ansatz sicher nicht. Denn Meze kann nicht mit dem Namen punkten, Meze verkauft keinen Kopfhörer nur weil Meze drauf steht. Denn wer kennt schon Meze? Der Empyrean muss überzeugen, sich seinen Platz in den Bestenlisten dieser Welt hart verdienen. Und dies gelingt nur mit Klang und überzeugender Qualität.Bezüglich dem Innenleben hat Meze einen neuen Ansatz verfolgt. Es ist nicht nur ein gewöhnlicher Treiber verbaut, sondern man versucht mit einem interessanten Ansatz zu punkten. Gab es noch nie und deshalb ist er kaum vergleichbar. Technisch sticht vor allem ein Punkt hervor: 4 - 110000 Hz kann der Treiber (Messbar) abbilden. So einen hohen Frequenzumfang ist bei Kopfhörern einzigartig. Die Impedanz ist mit 31.6 Ohm relativ niedrig, der Wirkungsgrad mit 100dB vergleichbar hoch. Das heisst, er ist bezüglich der Verstärkerleistung relativ anspruchslos. So ist es auch möglich ihn direkt an einem High-Res DAP zu hören, ohne zwischengeschaltete Endstufe.Und wie funktioniert der Treiber den nun genau, was macht ihn Speziell? Der Treiber ist Oval und mit 75x49mm Durchmesser relativ gross. Das spezielle sind die zwei unabhängigen Schwingspulen innerhalb derselben Membran (siehe Bild). Hierbei geht es darum wie die Membran zum Schwingen gebracht wird. Üblicherweise durch eine Schwingspule - hier sind es deren zwei:Switchback Coil: Die Rückstellspule ist bei der Wiedergabe tiefen Frequenzen effizienter und befindet sich im oberen Teil des Treibers.Spiral Coil: Die Spiralspule ist bei der Wiedergabe von mittleren bis hohen Frequenzen effizienter und befindet sich direkt über dem Gehörgang, so dass mehr direkte Schallwellen ohne Zeitverzögerung in das Ohr gelangen können.Dies das ist der interessante Ansatz! Es gibt noch mehr .... aber am Ende spielt es natürlich keine Rolle was für eine Technologie wie oder warum eingesetzt wurde. Am Ende zählt das Resultat am Ohr. Und davon darf sich bei uns im Geschäft gerne jeder selber überzeugen!Was noch erwähnenswert ist: Der Kopfhörer wird komplett in Rumänien von Hand gebaut - und man hat ihn wartungsfreundlich gebaut.
