Mcintosh XR240 Speakers. Used and in perfect working conditions. Cosmetically they show normal wear and tear but please refer to the photographs as the official cosmetic description. Ready to be auditioned upon pick up. Due to size and weight and difficulty of packaging I am only offering local pick up, but will consider shipping if someone is interested. Extremely smooth, detailed and musical sounding speakers. They have a very rich tone! Very clean, clear low distortion sound as you would expect from a Macintosh product. The imaging is absolutely excellent. The speakers are capable of disappearing acoustically, creating the impression that the sound is simply in the air and not coming out of the speakers. You can actually look right at the speaker and have the illusion that, the speakers are not playing and sound is simply in the air around you. The singer’s voice is located dead center right in front of you creating a virtual center channel as palpable and real as if you had a center channel playing and the instruments distributed as they were in the band when the recording was made.
