It plays CDs and DVDs perfectly. Selling since I underutilize it as pretty much just a transport at this point, with my Auralic DAC. It deserves better. I accidentally put heavy gears on the top, then cracked the glass , Glass face plate has been glued together won’t crack further. But it doesn’t effect the player’s great performance! very good sound. Comes with original remote and power cord.

McIntosh MVP 841 CD/DVD is in excellent working condition, only issue is has cracked faceplate and missing tray front lid. I accidentally put heavy gears on the top, then cracked the glass , Glass face plate has been glued together won’t crack further. But it doesn’t effect the player’s great performance! very good sound. Comes with original remote and power cord.

Mcintosh MVP841 DVD/Video CD/CD Player with Remote HR040Serial No. SF1535. Manufactured 2001. We used this fine DVD/CD player mostly for CD playback in our home stereo system. Sound quality is as good if not better than our MCD7007. We did watch some movies, but many movies we put into the machine for some reason would not play. Likewise, a few CDs would not be detected and result in a no disc display. Otherwise this excellent machine plays music beautifully, from classical to rock, especially on vocals. Cosmetically the MVP841 is near perfect. Front glass is flawless, all lights work, all functions work (except aforementioned issues). Please note this is the wider McIntosh chassis, not the earlier chassis with the pan lock. No box, no manual. Power cord might not be the original McIntosh cord (I cant tell). Remote functions work perfectly and its in good shape cosmetically. The battery cover is broken, but can be slid into place and stays put. Next day shipping. Thanks for looking!
