FOR REPAIR - STANDARD SHIP.McIntosh A-116 mono power amplifier (1953 -1954) This 30 watt mono amplifier was intended for use with McIntoshs C-8, C-4, C104, or C-108 preamplifiers and was accordingly fitted with an octal socket which supplied power to these units. It could, however be used with other independently powered control units.Acquired about 1975 in working condition, serviced and replaced a few Sprague caps and boxed it up while searching for a second. Its been in my attic ever since. A quick check indicates electrolytic cap needs to be replaced, so this unit warrants re-capping again. Not powered - Not tested, but it used to work.
