McIntosh MCD 7000 CD Player w/ Manual & Remote For Parts or Repair - Plays CDs. I spent $500+ on this unit in 2021 having it upgraded and repaired. It still sounds amazing as part of the work was upgrading the unit. Now, the CD drawer will not open on its own... you can open and close it manually and the remote doesnt seem to respond (maybe they are related). All worked well at one time. As I said, when the drawer is opened and closed manually, the disc loads and plays. Controls on the front work as they are supposed (save the load button). They case as seen in the photos is in very good physical condition. PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS AN AS-IS SALE WITH NO REFUNDS. I have disclosed it is not in new, full operating condition and has been priced accordingly for parts or repair. It might be a minor fix. I will be glad to refer you to the gentleman who did the excellent work on it a couple years ago. McIntosh MCD7005 CD Player acquired from the family of the original owner. I thoroughly tested this CD player and although it works, it has a couple of flaws. Sometimes the CD drawer does not go back into the unit all the way, it has to be helped by gently pushing it 1/8-1/16. After loading it a few times it retracted fully but as stated sometimes it needs a little help. Second flaw is that there is a smudge on the inside of the viewing glass. Its not on the actual display, its definitely on the glass and looks like a fingerprint(please view picture #5.) I am not going to start opening up a unit and taking apart the front panel to clean it. Third, there is No Remote Control Included. The original owner lost it in the couch never to be seen again. Thats the story with this high-end CD player. Working with a quirk or two. It probably needs lubrication or a new belt, but it can surely be used just the way it is. Sound quality is phenomenal, I used my Adcom component system to test it. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. NO UNPLEASANT SURPRISES.
