They can be bridged to mono and used as monoblocks, but with my sensitive speakers it is an overkill, so I have kept this one as a spare. I have rotated it into use occasionally to make sure it does not sit idle too long. Now I am downsizing and the amp must go. I bought it new at Chelsea Audio in Beaverton, Oregon. It has performed flawlessly and never been serviced. It has always been kept in my smoke-free adult-only living room, away from anything detrimental. It comes with the original McIntosh branded tubes. I have used various other tubes in the amp, so the tubes have a lot of life left. I have tested the tubes recently on my Maximatcher/Maxipreamp.
