They work and sound fine, with good presence and a good deep bass from the hybrid 8 bass drivers drivers paired with a large electrostatic panel. Striking appearance. Included in this sale are the speakers, the wall wart power supplies, the manuals, and the original boxes. Why am I selling so inexpensively? Because I discovered that they are WAY too big for my smallish listening room, so I replaced them with a more conventional model, and they are now taking up space in a storage room. Also, Im selling inexpensively because you will have to be slightly inconvenienced if you want them, as I WILL NOT SHIP! Please dont even ask! I want the buyer to be able to inspect them, pick them up, and take them away. NO EXCEPTIONS! With that being said, I think Im offering a good deal for someone. For your consideration is a pair of original vintage Martin Logan Monolith loudspeakers. This is the legendary model that put Martin Logan on the hifi map. These come straight from the original owner and are in remarkably good cosmetic condition. I actually purchased these with the intention of keeping them but my wife refused to let them come into the house! Both speakers have been tested and appear to be working well. The woofers definitely need to be re-foamed. They currently operate fine but so have some thin splitting on the foam surrounds as shown. These speakers produce a very large-scale sound that is transparent yet with plenty of bass punch. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact I cannot ship these, cash payment in person required.
