Optonica RP-3636 Direct Drive Turntable Marble Stone Base Missing Counterweight Turntable is in decent condition for its age. It is MISSING THE REAR COUNTERWEIGHT. I was going to have a friend machine one but we never got around to it. The platter turns fine and seems to hold steady to the strobe, at least for the 10 minutes I was running it. Dust cover has some marks and weird bubble like defects. Wood base has a chip on the rear corner but otherwise looks pretty good. Has a Shure M92E cartridge with a new stylus. Cant remember if I installed it or it is the one on the plastic case. Will include a new anti-skate weight. Needs a good cleaning and a counterweight and you will have a nice turntable. Most items ship out next day. This may take another day or 2 to ship out. I will box it up very safely. It is heavy (which is what you want in a good turntable) but shipping will not be cheap. Denon DP1800 Direct Drive Turntable Marble Plinth Japanese MarketThis item is now offered including the step down transformer which has now been found. Extremely rare in the UK as they were only made for the Japanese market and not exported. I shipped this back over a decade ago and unfortunately during shipping in a container a small crack appeared in the marble at the 5 and 9 aclock positions but these are hardly noticeable. The unit worked when put into storage. This would make a wonderful project and be quite a talking point as they are rarely seen outside Japan. Will require a step down tarnsformer as they run on 100v. Will be packed very well and labelled glass.
