Powers on, play button engages spins cassette. Left channel plays and vu meter works, right channel has surge vu meter maxed out. Appears fine when first turned on then meter tops out. FFwd works if you hold the button down almost all the way manually ffwd by finding right spot. Same with reverse. Hold either one down right before it clicks works but if you go all the way wont work. Most likely this hasnt been used in a very long time and with a lil knowledge and love some one can get it to operate smooth. SOLD AS IS, PARTS ONLY IN NEED OF REPAIR.

This is a clean tape deck. Selling as-is. It powers up, plays tapes fine, both meters light up and are functioning. It doesnt seem to rewind or fast forward though. So selling as playing with needed service. It could be an easy fix like contact sprayer. It may be something as simple as changing some belts as there is another seller on ebay selling belts for various Superscope models including this one. Belts do seem to die with age as the years progress. Or could need a part. But plays fine. Ill throw in a box of vintage assorted cassette tapes as well. Marantz Superscope cd330 cassette field recorder. Working electrically but needs belts. When the play button Is partially pressed the reels rotate (except for tape counter) and sound can be heard. When the button is pressed the whole way putting full pressure on the capstan the reels stop. Belts are available and an excellent tutorial is onLine. I just do not have the time nor(to be truthful ) the will. No return or refund

There is power to the unit. You can hear it. But the tape does not turn. The VU meters flickered when fist inserting a tape and pressing play. So it will need attention to get it working. Comes boxed as shown with instructions and power lead. This will be packed in a bigger box for safe passage.
