This power amplifier has been professionally refurbished few years ago by one of the best Marantz tech in North America (Jean Desrochers from Planabox - Montréal). The unit is in perfect working condition. This is a one owner unit, my father bought it in 1973. I have also a Famous Marantz 3800 Stereo Preamplifier for sale, please, look at my eBay auctions. Great sounding and robustly built Marantz CD-54 in full working condition. Cosmetically, its in very good condition with the lightest of marking to its facia and some light scratches to its casing. Marantz SM500 Power Amplifier - Audiophile and Rare. Incredibly rare in this country, this is a superb Power Amp. Lovely sound and very cool looking too. It’s in very good condition for the year and receives high praise on Audiokarma. There weren’t that many of these made so it’s certainly a collectors piece.
