Marantz PM7200 hifi amplifier This amp does actually work very well and sounds superb ! ....and with care in usage could be a great addition to your system.BUT it has 2 issues hence the listing parts/not working: 1. The amp makes a switching noise on the speakers/headphones when main power switch is switched on and off. If you can live with the above then it could be a bargain purchase.....see the following for advice on point 1 >>>> *Recommended operation ?* A. The power switch on/off noise will not be heard if you remember to keep your chosen front panel speaker switch switched OFF before powering on. (see pics for the 2 speaker switch locations)............then switch your speakers on. B. when powering down ......make sure you switch off the speaker switches before the mains power switch. 2. Also, the amp does not respond to Remote Control signals.(This is not a major issue as the amp can be operated without remote but mute & standby function are not available from the front panel.....also volume has to be manually changed without the remote.) =================================================================== GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Apart from the above, it has been fully tested and is working approx 95W in Class AB............25W in Class A mode ...... ( * see snip pic of User Guide spec in images above) A very competent amp offering Class A mode and 2 sets of speaker outputs for 2nd room listening capability or bi-wire option.Headphone output and also source direct to bypass tone controls etc. Good cosmetic condition.....See pics to assess .... ding on one corner of the lid but apart from that the lid is very tidy. A few scratches on the rear panel. A few marks on the top ledge of the front panel fascia. > system tested including the excellent phono stage.>>>> bias currents checked/adjusted to Marantz spec for Class A and AB modes. A Snip at £125 despite the 2 issues listed....but no returns please as listed as parts/not working.
