Marantz PM8006 2-Channel Integrated Amplifier (mostly working). If you use the amp in source-direct mode (bypassing the tone controls), or in a power-amp mode the sound is great, clear and engaging. But in tone control mode every few seconds there is a loud popping sound coming from the speakers and/or scratching sound. The moment you switch to source-direct or power-amp everything goes back to normal. Probably its a bad capacitor on the tone control circuit or a tone control potentiometer creating this problem but I dont listen to speakers as much as before and move so I dont have the time to figure it out. But even if you decide to repair it it is still a decent bargain for an amplifier of this caliper. The phono stage and remote also work without any issues.

Selling my Marantz PM8005. This amplifier is in excellent cosmetic and perfect working order. Power Specifications: 70w per channel into 8 ohms 100w per channel into 4 ohms This amplifier has been reviewed extensively online and in magazines. It receives high praise for its excellent build quality, smooth, rich sound quality, it’s ability to run inefficient speakers and a smooth sounding phono stage.
