You are looking at my Marantz PM6006 UK special edition amplifier The amplifier is pretty much in mint condition. It has been extremely well cared for. All features of the amp are functional. It is complete with its original box including the internal polystyrene packaging. I will be shipping the amplifier directly in this box. Also comes with its original instruction manual and phono RCA leads. Also the remote control which is complete with its original packaging plastic. The remote control is in mint condition with no damage, wear or tear to it. The amplifier outputs fantastic sound, there are many reviews on this amplifier whereby it has won awards. A significant step up from the PM6005 series and this particular example is the sought after UK edition which benefits from additional tuning at the Marantz factory. This amplifier was a What Hi-Fi Award winner in 2019 and was given a 5-Star review https://www.whathifi.com/marantz/pm6006-uk-edition/review I have had the pleasure of listening to the PM6007 and this actually sounds better (controlled and balanced) due to the DAC manufacturer having been swapped for the 6007 (due to cost issues). So if you're going to use predominantly digital sources, this would be a better buy over the newer PM6006. The amplification stages are (I’m led to believe) identical in terms of components. It is also fitted with a great sounding phono stage that I have used with several vintage DD decks and they all sound sweet. Single owner unit and only thing missing are 2x red caps & 2x black caps that fit into the speaker connectors on the rear (I plugged banana plugs straight into these connectors), which in no way affect performance or the blemish free body, but I’d rather be 100% honest. I have no reason to think that there is a problem with any of the digital inputs (2x SPDIF and a coaxial) but I’ve never used them as I run all my digital inputs through a separate Schiit DAC and then output via an RCA cable into this amp. These units were reported (lots of user testimonials out there on Google) to have a hum when using Optical input, but as I use a separate DAC anyway I can’t comment on this issue. I was aware of this possible problem at point of original purchase but use of a separate DAC insulated me from any issue. If you are looking for an amp solely to use for SPDIF inputs and do not intend to use a separate DAC, then buyer beware, as I cannot guarantee the SPDIF inputs on this unit will not have the same issue as reported elsewhere. If, like me you use RCA cables for all your inputs, then there is no issue whatsoever. I'd describe this amp as like-new condition cosmetically. I cannot see any imperfections, from more than a foot away. I think the new owner will be very pleased with this unit. From a smoke free home.
