Simple description for this amplifier: it DOES NOT work due to a damaged microcontroller (MCU). Sadly it arrived to my bench with partial signs of life, however, after further testing I determined that the MCU is damaged and therefore I am selling it for parts ONLY. For sale is this Marantz PM57 amplifier. Amplifier is sold as seen - for parts, not working. I bought the amplifier from a hi-fi shop and owned it for a couple of years, but has unfortunately stopped working, so am selling as parts to fund a new one. There is no sound from the amplifier. Amplifier does turn on and all lights on the amplifier work when a different input is selected. This may be fixable for someone that knows how. I have absolutely no idea, hence selling as not working, spares or repairs. I do not accept returns on spares or repair items. Please make sure you are happy buying an item known to not be working.
