Marantz CD65 mk2 SE TDA1541A CD player Upgraded. The upgrade is the damping to stop reverberation. New cd belt. It has the headphone lead removed for better Sound quality. And I have added caulking on top of the caps to stop outside frequencies. It all works how it should apart from no headphones because it is disconnected. A great classic audiophile cd player.

May work perfectly fine but as I can’t confirm this need to be sold as listed. Therefore it is sold as seen as spares repairs with strictly no returns when sold. Marantz cd65 II player remote control This was working the last time I used it. But then the cd player it worked with (a Marantz cd65 II),stopped working and I went out and bought a different cd player. Its in good condition with only a few minor marks etc,see photos. Im selling for spares or repairs as I noticed that theres a bit of green residue on one of the battery contacts. Might be easy to clean up, who knows. This is for the remote control shown in the photos. No batteries included UK buyers only with UK mainland addresses. I wont send abroad etc

Marantz CD Player CD65 Mark II Special Edition This CD player was part of my brothers vintage hifi kit from the late 1980s. He’s recently passed it on to me but I am not a big music/hifi enthusiast so rather than it be boxed away in a cupboard I thought it best to offer it out to those of you who’ll recognise its quality and will get pleasure from using it for years to come. From a review I read it was manufactured around 1988 when the Philips-based Marantz brand name was known for producing excellent quality CD players in that continuously evolving heyday for the CD. The review states this particular model retailed for £249.95 in the UK, a tidy sum that my brother must have saved up for back in the day. Probably around £750 at today’s prices. The player hasn’t had much use in recent years but it’s been well looked after and still in great condition and working order. I set it up recently with a powerful amplifier and large speakers and even to my uneducated ears the sound was crisp and not distorted even when I cranked up the volume. It comes with the original remote and the user manual. There’s also a power lead that might not be the original but the plug does have the recommended 3amp fuse. I’m no electrician so please do your own checks. Happy to parcel up or for you to collect if you live local. Good luck bidding. Thanks.
