Welcome to my listing for my beautiful mint condition Marantz CD53 CD Player. This lovely unit from the venerable stable of Marantz delivers music with surprising authority and detail. This is a very clean, smooth and detailed sounding CD player and can easily be partnered with higher end components. It really does sound excellent. The transport is the very high quality and resonance free Philips CDM12.3 unit with a linear trace laser with Digital Servo Drive (DSD). The DAC on board is the high precision SM5872BS Bitstream chip which is shared by the 63, 67 and 6000 series players, including the KI Signature models. This is a CD63 without the HDAM modules and in many ways a more smooth and natural sound quality to my ears. The headphone output is also of a very high quality, if that is important to you. As you can see from the pictures, this player is in really excellent condition throughout. It reads and navigates discs with speed and precision and every button and function works perfectly and as it should. This does ship with a fully working remote too. Its not the original Marantz one, but a very good copy of it and works perfectly.
