THE MARANTZ CD65DX is fitted with the superb PHILIPS CDM4 TRANSPORT with the superior brushless haal effect motor same as CD75 mk2 but with a plastic base rather than cast metal & all time great multibit TDA1541A dac I have upgraded it with ultra high performance components throughout RUBYCON YXF ZLG & ZLH low impedance capacitors Nippon ChemiCon, Dubilier, Nichicon, Panasonic,greatly increased power supply capacity e.g 470uF up to 2200uF this reduces power supply ripple before the regulators & non polar electrolytics for output signal coupling which are almost as good as a film cap,MBR 11100 schottky diodes for digital & analogue supplies,gold plated sockets for the op-amps ultra low distortion LM49720 , new trim-pots for laser focus & offset, cd clamper mechanism cleaned & greased new belt fitted superb sound as always with these classic dacs, note the headphone circuit & socket is removed for sound quality reasons, no remote control but many philips based ones will work & are easy to find , I try to show the upgrade work in the photos so you know it is genuine so many items claim to have been serviced or upgraded with no evidence of the work also I have upgraded many cd players & amplifiers ( I am a qualified technician) & sold to happy customers around the world including France Italy Spain Norway America & Hong Kong although I should point out I do not do this for a job or make any money just tend to upgrade items I have collected for the pursuit of great sound & research , international sales to be handled by EBAY global shipping program.
