A well-reviewed and beautifully built CD player from Marantz. This CD player has been lightly used, having been stored for the last 4 or 5 years. It appears to be fully working and is in great condition apart from the following small flaws which I mention for the sake of completeness. The Marantz badge above the drawer suffered slight damage and was reglued. This has left a little staining on the surface - I have no idea if this could be removed. There is a faint scuff/scratch (about 5mm long) on the screen (this might even polish out). (The large, light, diagonal mark seen in some pictures is actually a reflection of sunlight in the room.) There is a very small dent in the remote control. From normal distance these flaws are invisible and the unit looks very classy. The player is very heavy and is constructed primarily from heavy gauge metal. More importantly, it sounds superb. The player comes complete with remote control, mains cable, manual and original packaging. Thanks for looking.

For sale is my 2nd system which I no longer use. This lot weighs in at around 55Kg and I don't have the original packaging. Collection is preferred but I can make up some boxes and package them very securely. Please check my reviews as they reference the high standards I go to to ensure my items arrive safely. I have had these Amps and Cd player for many years and they have performed flawlessly during my ownership.The only niggle I have had was the Cd player stopped reading discs a couple of years ago. Being a technician I was able to replace the laser and the rubber dampers the mechanism sits on. The disc read is nice and quick and the drawer is as smooth as new. The player should be good for many more years of listening. As you can see from the pics the items have been well looked after during my ownership.There are a couple of marks as the finish on these can be marked quite easily. One of the power amps has a small scratch on the front (approx 15mm) next to the power button. If I remember correctly, it was caused by the previous owners wife accidently clipping it with her ring after one too many! I have been lucky enough to use these with some custom power cables on a very very long term loan from a good friend and have in that time mislaid the original cables. If you are looking at these then chances are you would be planning to utilise some higher end power leads anyway. If not, then standard cables are easy to come by and cheap enough. I will however be including in the sale, a pair of custom made Chunky Cable interconnects for the power amps and some short Chord Chameleon Silver Plus interconnects for the Cd Player. Also included are the original PM17 and Cd17 remote controls. I have been running this set up in BTL mode which gave me 200W per channel.I would describe the sound as ever so slighter warmer than neutral, detailed with a large sound stage and plenty of power in reserve.These power amps are as rare as hens teeth. The last time 2 came up together was this pair when I bought them several years ago. People just don't let them go. I have more HiFi than I can listen to and not enough space to store it all, hence I am reluctantly putting these up for sale.Please check the internet for impartial reviews, I don't think you will find a negative one! Please study the pictures as they show the actual items you will be bidding on. I have tried to show all the minor imperfections with high res pictures. I think I have covered all the angles but if you would like further pics then please message me. The only point to note is the lights behind the temperature gauges on all 3 amps do not illuminate and have not in all the time I have owned them. To be honest, if they came with an on/off switch then I probably would have turned them off anyway. UK mainland bidders only please, these things are heavy and expensive to post.
