The Sony SACD disc and This is it Blu-ray disc for display only, not included in sale. The Marantz UD9004 shares much with the Denon DVD-A1UDCI (Denon is also under the D&M Holdings umbrella). While the price of the Marantz is more ($5999 vs $4500), it isnt insanely more. When it comes to purchasing your home theater equipment, either of these players is ideal.The Marantz UD9004 has many of the same connections as the Denon including 7.1 analogue outputs, balanced stereo out, and coaxial and optical audio out. On the video side, it has a fully compliment of composite s-video, and component. Also like the Denon, the video and audio HDMI connection is split into two separate HDMI cables. While they state this is for high fidelity playback, the whole point of HDMI was to simplify connections to a single cable. The entire chassis and case is overbuilt with aluminum and copper everywhere. The amount of copper is actually quite surprising as we were unaware that just constructing the feet out of the metal would make a sonic difference (they didnt claim that). The chassis is copper plated, the toroidal transformer is copper shielded, and the feet are machine milled solid copper blocks. Marantz is obviously serious about this player as they have broken down the internal components for you to see! Unit seems to work fine aside from it taking longer than (what I think) is normal to read discs. I only have one Blu-ray Disc at my disposal to test with so it could be my discs condition that’s causing it not to read super quickly. However the laser/lens could be the issue as well. I don’t know. Also when playing a Blu-ray, the unit doesn’t produce audio out of the TV speakers which I believe is because of something in the audio settings however I don’t have a remote so I can’t access them. Overall it’s in very good physical shape. Comes as seen. AS IS with no returns

Was working great (albeit used once every couple months for the last 7 years). Now doesn’t eject (it switches on fine and thinks it is opening when press the eject button but nothing happens). Am not technical and given use my iPhone into my system 99% of the time, don’t want to try and repair. Comes with a Simon and Garfunkel CD that is trapped within!

Marantz UD5005 Universal Disc Player - SACD, CD, Blu-Ray, DVD. Excellent condition and perfect working order (some light marks only, visible in photos). Recent service, with new tray belt fitted. Original remote control is supplied, but intermittent, and complete with brand new replacement compatible remote (with all functions). Sounds superb on CD and SACD. Excellent, fast-loading Blu-Ray player too.

Marantz UD7007 Cd/ Blu-ray Disc Player. This does not work properly when tested with a HDMI cable between player and tv there is no sound and the picture comes out with a purple tint. We do not know the problem so possibly for spares or for someone who can repair it. No remote control
