Unit in excellent condition. Sounds great and works great. After a long long emotional battle, have to part with this awesome unit. Moved to a different house and just dont have space left (according to my wife) to put up this marvelous preamp. Never been racked, always kept on audio shelves. I am still blown away by the scene from Polar Express, where you can hear each instrument so distinctly and separately. I have used it for both movies and music. With the built-in phono stage, I could connect my vinyl turntable and listen to music in the warm Direct mode. With built-in AirPlay, it was easy and simple to play music from almost any source. Having the 2 separate outs for subs was a definite plus. The Audyssey setup made the bass punchy, controlled, and balanced (yes, balanced for subs, have enjoyed hours of movie and music to claim that balanced subs make a huge difference). I had gotten rid of the original boxing thinking I would never have to part ways with this unit. Reached out to Marantz directly and purchased new suspended-in-air double corrugated boxing for shipping.

I kept this unit operating in a temperature-controlled, nearly dust-free environment. Please read everything below for the good and for considerations before buying/bidding. With appropriate amplification, speakers, and display hardware, this will make your content look and sound amazing!Cosmetics are nearly like-new. The pictures make smudges or any potential cosmetic defects look a lot worse than what you see in-person. Any smudges or defects in the pictures are fingerprints or dust that the camera captures better than the human eye.Comes with all retail accessories. I only used the microphone, remote control, and WiFi/Bluetooth antennas. As you can see from the picture, all other accessories were unused and are therefore like new!No need to purchase any surround sound formats: All Dolby Atmos and Surround formats, DTS:X and Neural X, Auro-3D and Auro-2D formats, IMAX Enhanced are included!Audyssey MultEQ-X is built in to this unit**. (I dont think its a big deal since I prefer it off, but I wanted you to be aware in case you care about the small port hole text display.) This is the ONLY potential functional defect with this unit; absolutely everything else works perfectly.As I mentioned in the beginning of this description, I used an active cooling system when this unit was operating; even though this is a processor without loudspeaker amplification, it can still get kind of hot! Therefore I strongly recommend that you either keep this unit on open shelving, and/or that you also use an active fan- or other cooling system in order to keep this unit running smoothly for a long time.This is the version of the AV8805 with HDMI 2.0b inputs and outputs. Regarding video content, it can therefore handle all HDR formats (Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+, HGIG) and 4k UHD up to 60Hz. But it will likely not pass through higher bandwidth content that requires HDMI 2.1, which is only high-end gaming (Playstation 5, latest XBox, or super high-end PC games.) So unless youre an avid video gamer, this wont matter; this unit will perfectly handle all of the latest movie/TV/streaming video and audio content from any source (e.g. 4k UHD BluRay Players, Nvidia Shield, Apple TV 4k, cable set top box, Kaleidescape, etc.)**While Audyssey is built in to the processor and can be used with just the included hardware in this auction, you can also purchase the Audyssey mobile app and/or PC software to enhance your control of the Audyssey room correction results. You would make these purchases on your own at your discretion, outside of this auction and Ebay. FYI: the mobile app is around $20 (I used it and recommend it for the few critical functions it offers that the built-in software doesnt,) and the PC software is around $200 I think. Marantz AV 8802AThis unit is for parts or repair. The unit powers on but within a couple minutes the display starts flickering and then it eventually turns itself off and back on again. It then continues to turn itself off and on until you pull the plug. I am happy to share a video I took of this issue. Also, I am aware of (2) HDMI inputs that did not work even prior to the power cycling issue, the Blu-Ray input and the Aux 2 input.These inputs stopped working directly following a lightning storm in April 2023. To whom ever is watching, this is your last chance, soon as my free listings are done, so are these parts. They will get donated to the round file, or to a local audiophile. Get them while you still can. Nuff said. =/ More from the ongoing clean out. Just do not need these drivers anymore, or the controllers, have had them for at least a decade...just sitting in the a/cd walk in closet. =/ Controls include all six pots, all six knobs, both panels, and all the wiring you see pictured. One price for all of it, including all four mids/drivers/speakers, etc. Acquired these back when I was restoring my HD cabinets, now they need a new home. These probably fit all of the larger MARANTZ HD series cabinets as far as I can recall. Some of them came from bigger cabinets that I parted out, HD880, etc, etc. The ohms readings are written on the back of the magnets as you can see, took those readings a decade ago. Had a good fluke meter at that time, do not have a working meter presently. Have not tested them as of late, have no reason to believe they have any issues.
