Marantz 5030B 3 Head Stereo Cassette Deck working with New Belts. Very nice overall condition. A few minor blemishes but nothing major. The only thing to note is the Mic level potentiometer shaft is slightly bent. You can see that the top part of that knob sits slightly off. Doesn’t effect use. I would not attempt to bend it back, chances of making it worse are fairly high.. This deck has had some basic maintenance performed. The belts have been replaced(except for the counter belt. That belt was still working, and has some life left in it.) The pots and controls have been cleaned. Heads and tape path have been cleaned. This is functioning well! You will receive this deck as photographed and as described. There is no further warrantee or guarantee implied or offered. Up for auction is a Marantz 5030B 3 head stereo cassette deck. The deck is fully serviced and the following repairs have been done: - Cleaned the heads and replaced the pinch roller.- Lubricated the capstan/motor shafts.- Replaced the melted belts and idler tire, adjusted the speed, W&F 0.035% to 0.045%. - Adjusted the playback/record heads for correct azimuth.- Replaced the leaking Matsushita electrolytic capacitors using Elna Silmic II and Nichicon FG audio caps.- Cleaned the potentiometers and switches using deoxit D5. - Adjusted the electronics for correct levels. All the functions are operating as they should be, playback, record, ff, rew, pause, counter, counter memory, headphones, dolby B, MPX. The performance is excellent, the sound is warm, the bass is deep, the mid/highs crystal clear with wide stereo image in both modes (play/record). The deck is in very good condition, considering the age (see the pictures). This is a 120V model, S/N 92U110666. With the deck are included the old parts. All the questions are very welcome. I moved recently in US from Greece, where I was working in Greek Nakamichi service during 90s and I have all the professional equipment (original test tapes, oscilloscope, wow & flutter meter, distortion meter, frequency response meter, CR-7 test unit, 1000ZXL test unit).
