This listing is for a Marantz 2215B Stereophonic Receiver in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. This unit features the full width silver faceplate Marantz is known for, but is just over 12” deep allowing it’s placement on narrower shelving units. It has been tested/serviced. A color copy of the Handbook of Instructions will be included. The following outline covers the testing/service work done: · All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels. · Headphone jack was tested and is working. · AM/FM radio stations were received as expected across the radio dial using only a simple wire antenna. The dial pointer lamp was replaced with an LED-style lamp. · Tape and Aux inputs and outputs were tested and function as expected. · Phono input was tested and functions as expected. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate Deox-It formula. · The faceplate, dial scale and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished. · The Stereo lamp was replaced with an LED and works as designed (when an FM Stereo broadcast is tuned). · All Meter and Radio Dial lamps were replaced with Cool Blue LED fuse-style lamps. · The Power Supply Board was re-capped. The filter cap was not replaced as it tested in-spec. · The light-diffusing Velum paper behind the radio dial was replaced for color clarity. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance. · The foam cushioning used on the underside of the metal top was replaced to ensure a better fit. · The original Marantz power cord was cleaned/inspected. · Any missing top cabinet or bottom plate screws were replaced. · All feet were inspected and replaced as needed. · Watts/channel was checked using a Peak and RMS Output Meter to meet/exceed model specs. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality. (The original length of the pot was 30MM, I cut it down to properly fit the 22XX series of Marantz receivers) Shaft diameter 6MM Resistance: 250K Ohm X 2 Loudness Tap: 75K Ohm X 2 Taper: Linear Note: Some early Marantz receivers had a Log (Audio) taper. However, you can still use a linear pot in place of a log pot. However, the pot will perform a little differently, the linear pot will increase the volume more quickly than the log pot otherwise no problems. Please ask questions if unsure. If you are not happy with this potentiometer, then you may return. I am a Marantz Collector/restorer and have several of these pots in my Marantz rebuilds. This pot may fit any of these Marantz models. However, you should confirm before ordering.
