Description
?Products? This is a used product. This is the NA-11S network audio player released in celebration of Marantzs 60th anniversary. It is a high-end network audio player. It is also valuable as a DAC for CD players. The list price was 346,500 yen. I used to enjoy digital audio from my PCs USB port, but I switched to a small full digital player and it has become a bit of an overload, so Im selling it to get rid of it. All accessories are included. I will include a set of printed manuals and a document on how to set up network audio that I learned on the internet. It will be shipped in the original box. Due to a characteristic of this product (I think it is a bug in the power management), when the power cable is unplugged and plugged back in, the standby light goes out and the unit is not working. I have been researching on the internet and have come to the conclusion that the standby light is off and I cant do anything with it. After much research on the Internet, my conclusion is to let some time pass (about 3 hours) and then insert the power cable. I assume that this time lapse is the natural discharge time of capacitors, etc. It is sure that the LAN cable should be connected at this time. (If the LAN cable is not connected, it may take a day or much longer.) The standby lamp will light up and normal operation can be performed. It seems that the status of the LAN port (nick card) is also monitored and shifted to standby status. Therefore, even if the power supply is turned on normally after the arrival check, and then the power is disconnected and the power cord is inserted again in the main installation, the unit may become dormant. At first I was impatient and thought about sending it in for repair. It was a strange phenomenon that was restored by unplugging the power cable, leaving it for a day, and then inserting the power cable again. It seems that it also monitors the status of the LAN port (nick card) and shifts to standby mode. (Added on March 5, 2024 8:42 am) I tested it last night with the power cable disconnected. In the morning, when I inserted the power cable, it went into standby mode normally. (Added March 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM) I have been testing since this morning and it seems that LAN cable insertion has nothing to do with it. When the standby lamp does not light up, unplug the power cable and insert the power cable after about 3 hours, and the standby lamp will light up. (Added on March 5, 2024, 4:03 p.m.) I have tried various ways to recover from the standby light going out. If the power cable is unplugged when no device is connected to the LAN port and then inserted, the light remains off, it recovers when the power cable is inserted after about 5 minutes of LAN cable connection. If a device is connected to the LAN port and the power cable is disconnected and the light remains off after insertion, it recovers after about 5 minutes have elapsed and the power cable is inserted. From this, it seems that there is a bug in the power monitoring algorithm of the digital system. I guessed that it takes several hours for the capacitor to discharge naturally, but when a device is connected to the LAN port, the load is connected and the threshold value is satisfied in a few minutes and the device can shift to the standby state by inserting the power cable. I found a description on the Internet that reached the same conclusion in the search for the cause. In normal use, it may be due to a room change or a power failure, but if there is a device connected to the LAN port, it will not be noticed. Please purchase with the above in mind.
