Fantastic FM tuner for sale from original owner. The tuner is 100% functionally perfect and has never been serviced. Truly CD quality sound (or better). Tuner locks in on channels. Magnum Dynalab FT 101 Analog Tuner The Canadian-made Magnum Dynalab FT 101, which covers only the fm band (88 to 108 MHz), is perhaps the last of the analog tuners. Its tuning knob, a vanishing feature on today’s digital tuners, varies the setting of a potentiometer whose output voltage controls the frequency of a voltage-controlled oscillator. A heavy flywheel provides the silky, freewheeling action that used to be a hallmark of a good tuning mechanism. The only other controls on the handsome panel are five lever switches for power, mono/ stereo mode, wide/narrow IF bandwidth, AFC, and muting. Three fairly large illuminated meters are the most visible front-panel features. In the middle is a zero-center tuning meter whose pointer indicates the correct tuning setting. To its right is the RF input meter, which reads relative signal strength, and to its left is a multipath indicator. The FT 101’s only obvious concession to digital technology is a large green frequency readout below the tuning meter. This MD FT101 tuner appears to have been modified (extra holes in the rear panel, now covered with a plate, and the RCA jacks have been upgraded to WBT gold RCAs), and seems to work fine, pulling in about the same stations as my FT101A. The numeric display, all 3 meters and the meter lights work fine. Some wear marks on the edges of the faceplate. Sold as-is. See my listing for a MD205 signal sleuth FM amplifier as well.

Nice used condition, a few tiny faint scratches on top and bottom, not bad at all, have to look hard to see. No dings or dents. All functions, lights work. A few tiny scratches or rub marks on sides of 2 of the buttons, not bad, they work as they should. All functions work as they should, meters, lights, and button selections. This example holds stations for weeks at a time, no station drift at all. This little tuner pulls stations very well with either the Terk or the common T-Ribbon antennas included. The Terk is directional with a swivel base and was a bit better than the Ribbon. The T-Ribbons need to be taped or tacked to ceiling once the best direction is found. The T-Ribbon has a few thumb tack holes in the center portion where I had it tacked to the ceiling in a T shape. Either antenna pegged the signal meter at 9 on strong local stations in my area. Had no trouble pulling stations from about 30-50 miles out with a slightly lower signal reading. These results were from my basement listening room with both antennas mounted indoor high up near the ceiling. That is just above ground level by a few feet. **These are my results from my location, yours could be better or worse as locations make all the difference in reception** The shipping box is probably not original but the blue foam inserts does fit the tuner and the box perfectly, so it is nice and secure for shipping.
