Mit seinem dezidierten Wahrheitssinn kümmerte sich der LM nicht nur um Details. Er deckte ohne großes Trara genauso gern komplexe Zusammenhänge auf. In Vienna Tengs St. Stephens Cross (Inland Territory, Decca) genießt der Hörer schon über Standard-Elektronik die junge Stimme, den putzig-rosigen Mädchenchor in vollen Zügen - und die dazu absichtlich eingemischten Platten-Knackser als netten Gag. Bessere Anlagen offenbarten dann schon den Herzschmerz ob der lyrisch geschilderten Trennung eines Paares. Über die Class-A-Röhre erschien der Girlie-Sound allerdings fast schon abgehoben paradiesisch, das böse Kratzen und Zerren dafür viel bedrohlicher, abgründiger.
