Pair of incredible Magnepan MG20 planar magnetic speakers with optional X-01 crossovers. These were used in our professional mastering room (Tonemasters studio B) and clients were always blown away by the clarity, definition and sound staging. They include high grade MIT cable jumpers for crossover connections, original stands and all original packaging, including tweeter shipping tube (tweeters have been properly removed and placed in factory tube). This pair sounds great, but would probably benefit from a factory refresh. They are available for pickup in southwest Florida only, or you can arrange freight pickup. I cannot / will not ship these. A pair of vintage Magnepan Magneplaner Mg-I (Improved) high-end audio panel speakers with original box. The Magnepans design differs from conventional speakers that use cones mounted in an enclosure, these speakers use a planar driver system mounted in a panel.This produces a unique sound with maybe the best midrange around, excellent on vocals. The speakers are really sleek and elegant, and big, measuring 60 tall x 22 wide x 1 3/4 thick. At 4 ohms impedance they work best with a high power amp/receiver. The speakers tend to lean a little, so the base-stands might need to be shored up, or let them touch a wall (like I do). Regarding shipping - the package is large and weighs 75 lbs. Truly boxless sound with outstanding vocal clarity creates natural,lifelike sound that makes most centers sound boxy and veiled in comparison. There is no bass under 160hz so you will have to follow Magnepans setup to properly integrate into your system.Overall very good condition and presentable except for some small holes in the sock fabric. There are 4 in the center area and 2 on the right side.There is also some fraying on the top and bottom corners.
