This subwoofer comes out of a high-end home and is in great shape. I tested it throughly and it has nice deep bass and the switches work fine. Looking at the subwoofer, there is a tiny ding on the front (see photos), some light scratches on the top/sides, and some other light wear from use. Basically, just some light wear. These are the highest end M&K speakers ever offered for sale. They have solid oak cabinets and weigh 45lbs each. The dual mid range drivers are 6.5”, which are the largest ever used. A few years later the S-150 speaker was released for almost a third of the price. Still great speakers, but these are far more special. I think these are in exceptional shape for their age, especially the group pictured as a trio. Four of them have grills, one does not. I have owned these for several years and my hopes for a dedicated theater have not materialized. I need the closet space back. They have been stored at room temperature inside my home. It hurts me to part with them, but it’s time someone else hears Ken’s best speaker. These speakers were used by Sony to develop Dolby AC-3, also known as Dolby Digital. I have grouped the speakers by serial numbers. 3 that are all in the same range and 2 which are sequential but in a different range. The duo pair is in fair cosmetic condition, the trio is in very good. All speakers are structurally sound and sonically perfect.

This item is pre-owned. Overall, the speaker has been tested and in excellent working condition. The speaker cabinet as shown in the pictures has some wear (half moon indentions, fine/slight scratches, slight discoloration) due to age and use. The Grill has NO holes or runs. One of the grill binding pins as been severed and stuck in the speaker (see pic). The Foam barriers that separates the three tweeters/mids were removed due to it flacking falling apart. It would not make the transport and will causing a lot issues for the purchaser upon receipt. It will need to be replaced if needed. Please review all pictures before purchasing. This is a MK Sound VX-7B Powered Subwoofer being sold as-is for parts / repair. When tested, the amp nothing would play when RCA cables where connected and when the bass knob was adjusted, you occasionally get a loud humming noise. The driver and grill cover look great. The box looks very good with a few scratches and dings around the edges. Hopefully, someone can use this for parts or getting working again. Pair of Miller & Kreisel M&K 550 THX Black speakers. These have been tested and appear to be working properly. Condition is poor to fair. with lots of blemishes as pictured, but no structural cracks. A plastic connector screw to one speaker terminal is missing, and the screw itself where you screw in the speaker cable looks chipped or partially broken. This speaker is still testable and is working. There is also a section on the other speaker terminal that is chipped as pictured. These were tested with a variety of music and were maxed out at about 35 - 40 watts.Everything sounded clear. Perfect operationally with perfect surrounds and excellent fidelity. Although this is only one of what was designed as a set of two satellite speakers, it is a great stand-alone center speaker. BUT...there are 2 ISSUES with these speakers:1- The plastic binding posts on both speakers have decayed and fallen off after decades of use, but that doesnt affect the function, sound or appearance--refer to the photos. 2. In addition, one tweeter has a small DIMPLE that does not affect sound (and could be easily replaced) that is hidden behind the grill (and barely visible anyway). Look at the last photo closely. The binding post plastic has decayed over time and fallen off. But these speakers are made for raw wire connections anyway, so you can simply wrap the raw wire directly to the metal inner speaker binding--just as I have for a decade. Or upgrade...This pair of legendary Satellites was my main stereo speakers for a bit more than a decade during the 1990s-2000s! They look and sound great. I am only selling them as I downsize to an apartment post-divorce. My loss is your gain. THESE SPEAKERS ROCK!!!In very good used condition. Fully functional, look and sound GREAT. BUT...there are 2 ISSUES with these speakers:1- The plastic binding posts on both speakers have decayed and fallen off after decades of use, but that doesnt affect the function, sound or appearance--refer to the photos. 2. In addition, one tweeter has a small DIMPLE that does not affect sound (and could be easily replaced) that is hidden behind the grill (and barely visible anyway). Look at the last photo closely. The binding post plastic has decayed over time and fallen off. But these speakers are made for raw wire connections anyway, so you can simply wrap the raw wire directly to the metal inner speaker binding--just as I have for a decade. Or upgrade...This pair of legendary Satellites was my main stereo speakers for a bit more than a decade during the 1990s-2000s! I love them!Please give these awesome speakers a new home!These beasts weigh 36 pounds total! Ill consider shipping them, but would prefer local pick-up or delivery in NYC.
