Original Luxman L-480 Integrated Amplifier If you are reading this, you probably know what these vintage Lux’es, are, but I need to say this: This is an original Luxman L-480 Integrated Amplifier, from the “glory years” of Lux. It sounds great, is smooth, fast, and very musical. If you need a prestige integrated for a visible location, to be used with good equipment, this is your unit. In fact, I used it as the driver for the high-end of my Emerald Physics CS 2’s, and it sounded outstanding. Cosmetically, it is about as clean as any of them from those years outside of Japan, has a small dent as seen in the pictures. This unit was bought by me on the used market years ago, and in the time I have owned it, it has probably had like 40-50 hours put on it. The unit has just been “gone over” by the best analog tech in the southeast US, who while waiting for me to pick it up, used it for listening while he did repairs (and he only listens to the best). Any appearance issues (like bright spots) are the result of my studio lights when photographing the unit; and the unit is sold “as is” due to it’s age. I insure everything I ship/sell (usually at my expense), and I also need to say that while I assume you know what insured shipping costs now days (and using a fixed price to ship/insure the unit, I will probably lose money), BUT be aware that these units are big and heavy, and so shipping/insuring them is expensive!! Terms:Of course, Only PayPal accepted for payment. Shipping and insurance charges (or FREE IF I say “Free Shipping”) are for the “Continental US”/”Lower 48” states ONLY; if you need shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, ask me how much that will be; it probably IS NOT covered by the shipping numbers I quote in the listing (if I can use a USPS Flat Rate box, then it may be covered; otherwise, no)!!Payment must be received according to eBay terms or at auction end.In the event of unscheduled EBAY trouble late in the auction, the item may be relisted.Winner pre-pays bid plus shipping charges. (The US Post Office service is so screwed up nowdays that we now frequently use FedEx Ground; but we reserve the right to change that at our discretion.I cannot process the paperwork required for international shipments, so no international bids; do not ask because I will not break this rule. The sellers feedback should be a major consideration in any deal you do on EBAY; mine is excellent, check it out before you buy from me; and Note!!! I have been buying and selling on eBay (with multiple UIDs) almost since they started; since 1996; (and eBay didn’t track users in those early years; so the “eBay official years” shows less than my real 27+ years). I test everything I sell (and much of what I sell is my personal equipment), but I am not a store or Amazon; and so there is no warranty expressed or implied on anything I sell. This applies to the things performance and also to its “suitability for your application”. My feedback attests to the fact that I have always represented things accurately, and I respond to all EMAILs (unless they are repetitive or don’t make sense), so ask questions before you bid or buy.
