Ive bought a brand new LUXMAN directly from Japan about a year and a half ago, and when setting it up somehow managed to leave a small yet clearly visible nick. Needless to say - it bugged me no end, so I decided to get a new panel and replace the one I scratched. Little did I know - such a simple thing to do (in theory), proved to be nearly impossible in reality: Luxman in Japan dont have any dealings with individual customers outside of Japan and Luxmans distributors in UK dont deal with parts, only with complete units. The best they can do is to sent your amp for repairs to Japan at the cost of about £400 return postage + an actual cost of repairs and possibility of paying £304 UK importation tax for the second time. Im not going to elaborate how I got a new panel in the end - but it took more than a year to arrange and the cost of obtaining it was around £450. Im listing the old panel on the off-chance that somebody out there is looking for a Luxman panel like I used to. The scratch is above words LINE STRAIGHT and can easily be seen on photos.
