The Dolby B circuits allowed listeners to receive Dolby FM radio broadcasts, and also to hook up a tape or cassette deck to the Dolby decoder section to reduce playback noise. State of the art technology at the time. The tuner includes noise filtering for both AM and FM broadcasts, the ability to hook up to an oscilloscope for correct tuning, attenuator adjustments for FM sensitivity, level controls for variable output, variable muting controls, FM antenna hookups, and adjustments for the front panel illumination.
