Es wurde auch exclusiv von 1979-1981 in Japan gebaut und kostete 1979 um die 750,- DM, was laut Vintage Audio Spezialisten - aus dem Netz - jetzt 3000,- US Dollar wären. Das Gerät befindet sich noch in einem absoluten Originalzustand. Es bekam von mir nur einen benötigten Wartungsservice mit einer Tiefenreinigung der gesamten Laufwerksmechanik mit Isopropanol. Anschießend wurde ein neuer Antriebsriemen eingebaut und selbstverständlich auch die beiden Tonköpfe gereinigt. Es ist danach auch gut sichtbar in welchem hervorragendem Zustand diese sich befinden (siehe Foto). Das K5A hat einen Sendust Aufnahme/Wiedergabe Tonkopf der zu den besten aller Zeiten zählt. Dadurch ist es in der Lage sogar reine Metalbänder zu benutzen und schafft auch höhere Frequenzen (siehe Specifikationen aus dem Netz) als die meisten anderen Tapedecks aus der gleichen Zeit. Ich habe nur noch alle Kontakte,Schalter und Poti mit Teslanol-Oscilin T6 durchgespüllt um somit Kontakt Problemen keine Chance zu geben. I am no expert and I dont have a lot of knowledge with electronics, all I can tell you is it was working when i unhooked it, all the meters and lights were working, it was hooked up to a Luxman receiver and Bose speakers. I am selling this as is due to its age and the fact that I have to trust the shipping handlers.
