Luxman MQ36 Tube Stereo Power Amplifier. this powers up on the variac but produces no sound even up to 90 volts. And the transformers started to make a low buzzing sound so I didn’t push it further. There is a kind of choke that was added to the amp that reads 50hz and I wonder if that’s the reason for the buzzing sound. This is a 100 volt amplifier....it has a 117 volt tap incase you want to change it but i will advise leaving it on 100 volt and getting a variac or step down transformer tooperate it safely These are legendary sounding amplifiers and beautiful to look at too. 3 of the guiding pins on the output tubes are broken. Does not affect the performance of the tube. This is sold as is for part or fox.
