LINN SONDEK LP12 transcription turntable In very good condition, only physical imperfection is one of the hinges for the cover is cracked, but affects usability in no way. A new belt is needed but everything else is in working order

Made In The UK Linn LP12 with Ittok II Tonearm This is a one-owner turntable that was originally purchased brand new by my long-time customer. It has recently been traded in on the fabulous Pure Fidelity turntable from Canada. Everything works properly on this table. There are some wear marks on the dust cover and the wood bass where the cover rests. If you need a phono cartridge, I can install and set up your choice of cartridge From Hana, Dynavector, Rega, Clearaudio, Ortofon, or Pure Fidelity. Perfect working condition. Played LP records and sounds great. This unit is from the original owner since 1984. (See, Warranty card dated Feb. 8, 1984.) Cabinet is free from imperfection, all original components including a lid. Excellent cosmetic condition. Packing will be carefully done to prevent a damage on the Suspension mechanism during the transit. Its a perfect working condition but will be sold as is, no return due to the age of the unit. Serial number 31969 I purchased this second hand from an auction house solely for the tonearm, but acquired a LINN KRANE tonearm instead, so decided not to keep the SONDEK. It had a scuff on the front of the plinth, which I’ve sanded and re-varnished. The deck works fine and plays great. Just needs a bit of a clean and polish. Please review the images prior to bidding. This TT had recapped Valhalla Power Supply which keeps 33.3 speed pretty well. I don’t have a single 45 rpm record in my collection so I never bothered to install two speed power supply. Original bearing with plastic white liner was upgraded to a new Cirkus bearing. Original cardboard baseboard was upgraded to new aluminum Trampoline 2. Linn Ittok LV II was rewired and serviced by Paul Bird of HiFi Galery (https://thehifigallery.co.uk/) who used Cardas AWG33 and new super high quality bearings. My personal and very unorthodox addition to the table is winged nuts under the springs which makes the armboard adjustment so much easier. No wrench needed. Original lock nuts can be returned to their places if buyer wishes so. New high quality black tonearm cable was provided by HiFi Gallery. Tonearm equipped with Hana SL - one of the best MC carts under $1000. It is gently used and has a long life ahead. Original price is $750.Turntable can be sold for lower price without the cartridge. This table is fully operational and new owner can use it as is or keep upgrading it as he/she wishes without paying crazy amount of money for the new Linn TT which is getting costlier and costlier. Linn LP12, Ittok, Audio Technica OC10, Lingo 2, near mint, Krescendo HiFi Click images to enlarge Description Here for sale is a truly fabulous Linn LP12 with Linn Ittok tonearm, stunning Audio Technica OC10 moving coil cartridge and Lingo 2 power supply. The LP12 has been fully serviced by Krescendo HiFi. This includes a full strip down, the three suspension bolts have been checked for exact vertical hanging using the Linn tool specifically for the purpose, the suspension grommets and springs have all been replaced with brand new ones from Linn, the suspension has been carefully set to the correct pistonic bounce, the tonearm has been fitted with the correct geometry using the Linn Kinky alignment tool, the turntable rotation speed has been precisely set to 33.3 rpm using a laser revolution counter and the lid has been polished although a few very small marks remain. The LP12 has been fitted with the awesome Linn Ittok tonearm. This has been fitted with the stunning Audio Technica OC10 moving coil cartridge.  The LP12 benefits from the external Linn Lingo 2 power supply which provides a rock steady 33rpm and 45rpm at a touch of a switch from a quartz locked power supply. The Lingo is a significant sonic upgrade from the Valhalla or Majik power supply. The LP12 is in stunning condition with only the very smallest of marks to the lid and where the lid rests on the plinth. None of which detract from the appearance as you can see from the pictures. The deck will be all set for playing music and will only require basic putting back together from the box. We will provide full instructions how to do this and will provide full support. And we do mean FULL support. The buyer is welcome to phone us any time if they have questions. As a package they sound absolutely stunning. The LP12 comes in a Linn turntable double box with all the internal fittings to ensure safe transport. Linn Sondek LP12 Ittok/Cirkus/Hercules PSU/VM95e Fabulous Sondek LP12, Ittok arm, Hercules PSU with 33/45, fitted with a brand new Audio Technica VM95e cartridge, the full Cirkus upgrade has been fitted, Bearing, sub platter, chassis and arm board, the latest spec outer platter was fitted brand new last year along with the latest spec lid and hinges, also new springs and grommets, belt, the Stamford Audio Advanced Plinth has numerous upgrades including bracing, a proper mains socket to take kettle plugs and a fantastic machined Lexan base board with isolation cones built in. Also allows spring adjustment without removing it. Also a motor isolation system had been fitted. Mechanically excellent, everything has been serviced last year, the plinth will show light marks, the lid is excellent, recent, no cracks, belt was new last year with the springs and grommets, the Ittok bearings are also excellent,. All-round a fabulous Sondek with modern appointments. Possible hand delivery depending on location otherwise: Free Shipping via DHL 48, fully insured, will be shipped in three boxes for safely, you will need to assemble the deck as you would a new one, note the arm will ship fitted.
