Our example comes in a fluted plinth and is fitted with an Ittok tonearm. Cosmetically the plinth, platter and lid (which is non original) have a few marks and scratches all of which can be seen in the photographs. It is in good working order, but it would of course benefit from a full service set up. The turntable will be supplied professionally packaged and our normal three month warranty is also included. Please note at some point the plinth was modified and a plate with RCA sockets was fitted, probably as a result of the fitting of a different tonearm. These are no longer used and the Ittok arm that is fitted is terminated with standard RCA plugs. The result is a pick-up arm which has been acknowledged as a significant advance in disc playing equipment. The Linn Ittok LVII was designed with several performance features in mind. First, stability. It is a coherent mechanical system designed to maintain a precise relationship between the cartridge and turntable. This is due in part to a bearing system that minimises intermittent or continuous loss of dynamic accuracy. Second, simplicity. Dials for both tracking weight and bias force enable easy and highly accurate adjustment, making the Ittok simple to install and convenient to use. The Ittok is designed not to degrade with use or require continuous adjustment. In addition, it is engineered to cope with the most difficult cartridges now available and to anticipate future cartridge development. Linn Products have always insisted on direct A-8 comparisons on hi-fi equipment and tone arms are no exception. Compare the Ittok with other tone arms and audition it with different cartridges. Although designed with the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable in mind. the Ittok is suitable for use with most high quality turntables. Many thanks :) Description: Highly regarded and hard to find Ittok LV III tonearm. Apart from very minor witness marks on the headshell from cartridge fitment, and the normal witness mark from the collar allen bolt.. it is practically unmarked, a beautiful example. Complete with cable. Bearings are super smooth and it was not heavily used. Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING.
