Brand new this item was going for $1500 US at the time and as a refurb I was able to get it for $900 US which I felt was a steal for this model. Whatever the reason for being a refurbish I could not tell you. Cosmetically, it is flawless and performance wise it matched what I remember during a random demo at a big box store where I first laid eyes on this beast. It spent most its years in my personal home theater rarely being moved accept for when occasionally being dusted or wiped down. Surface wear is minimal as you will notice in the photos. This items comes with remote, instructions, power cord, and the microphone used to calibrate the sound. Remote* it works, but you have to hold it really close to the sensor for the sub to respond to it. Not sure if that was a design issue or something unique to this unit, but it has always been that way since Ive owned it. With todays Home Theater Receivers the calibration function is dated however, if you find yourself intrigued, I warn you, this is loud. If you have people cohabitating with you or neighbors in close proximity, you will make them angry with this function. Also, I recommend distancing yourself from the unit.
