Linn Majik DS/1 HiFi Music Streamer from circa 2011/2012. High quality music streamer from Linn which originally cost around €2,000. Similar to a CD player it plugs into your existing amplifier etc via RCA phono interconnects. It requires an ethernet connection. I have used a Devolo power line extender rather than a direct wired connection and quality has been superb, providing full CD quality and better output from Tidal or Qobuz and internet radio stations. Unit is in immaculate condition and comes with a Linn remote, though I mainly use the Linn app on my phone to control it. You may also want to download Linn Konfig app to help set up system. It can be set up with a fixed volume output or variable volume through Konfig. Through my Linn Kairn LK100 and Linn Kan peakers this unit has provided an excellent sound, reminiscent but better than my old Linn Karik CD player. It will be packaged in a Linn box and will come with remote control and power cable. I do not have the original manual but believe it can all be downloaded from Linn. Hi-Fi-Kennern brauche ich den Majik nicht erklären, außer dass das Gerät in einwandfreiem Zustand ist. Nur die Fernbedienung hat auf der Rückseite Spuren vom Liegen in der Schublade. Ein Foto der Rechnung habe ich eingestellt. Für Otto-Normalverbraucher (wie mich): Ich hatte in der Preisklasse bis 1.000€ einige Streamer ausprobiert. Klanglich stellte ich keine Unterschiede fest. Dafür stürzte die Software der Geräte gelegentlich ab. Und dann probierte ich auf Empfehlung den Majik aus … und konnte es kaum glauben. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass man aus Nullen und Einsen einen so unglaublich schönen Klang zaubern kann. Ohne irgendwelche Softwareprobleme. Ich nutze die Linn-App zum Internetradio hören und Musik läuft über Spotify (Kenner überlesen das mit einem Kopfschütteln, bitte). Man braucht also nur ein Handy, den DS, einen Verstärker und Lautsprecher.
