Buying an LP12 second hand can be like swimming in sharkinfested waters. Many that appear on here have been in somebody’s loft for 30years and then somebody finds them and puts them straight on ebay! An LP12 is extremely unlikely to work and perform perfectlyafter that long in hibernation, which is why all of my turntables arecompletely stripped, cleaned, oiled/varnished/painted as required and thenrebuilt using the original Linn parts, where they are sound, or replacementparts, if they are needed. Finally, they are rebuilt on a Linn Jig and then expertlyset up and tested before being put up for sale. You may pay a little extra for one of my turntables, butin life, you generally get what you pay for. And what you are getting here is adeck that is in a condition not too unlike it left the factory and it is likelyto give you years of great service. If it doesn’t, you can come back to me. There are cheaper ones out there, certainly, but if youbuy a cheap deck, not only will you probably not experience the full, true,legendary Linn sound, but you may also end up splashing out a lot of cashputting a 40 year old deck right, if it’s had a hard life. I do offer a restoration service on these decks and thetypical cost of putting a bad deck right is usually around £500. Similarly, if you could see some of the cartridges thatcome fitted to some of the decks that I buy in, you wouldn’t risk your recordcollection on it! To make sure that your records stay safe, I have fitted anew, old stock, Linn K9 cartridge – so, you can play your cherished vinyl withconfidence. As well as every component being thoroughly checked, allof my decks are sold with fresh Linn oil, new belts, new springs, new orserviceable hinges and the suspended chassis will have been finely tuned tobounce perfectly. Naturally, they are all tested too and they won’t leavehere unless they function perfectly and sound great. I cannot stress enough the benefits of collecting yourturntable in person - if at all possible. With well over 100,000 units produced in its nearly 50-year history it has become something of a legend to many audiophiles across the world. Our example is in the most popular afromosia plinth, with a Valhalla PSU, Ittok tonearm and Asak Cartridge. It is in good working order but would of course benefit from a service/set up. It has a rare tinted lid in OK condition, and a lovely rosewood plinth with a couple of minor blemishes but generally very tidy for its age. It will be supplied in a brand new set of Linn packing, with our normal three month warranty. First, stability. It is a coherent mechanical system designed to maintain a precise relationship between the cartridge and turntable. LINN LP 12 - Valhalla - Ittok LVIII - K9 - sehr gepflegter Zustand. Voll funktionsfähig - Wenig gelaufen. Der Linn ist von meinem Vater, der ihn nicht oft benutzt hat und die letzten 20 Jahre gar nicht mehr. Ich habe angeboten, diesen für ihn zu verkaufen. Der Zustand ist dementsprechend gut. Der Linn wurde ca. 1990 bei einem Linn-Händler gekauft. Der Tonarm ist der Linn Ittok LV III, also die dritte Version dieses schönen Tonarms. Das System ist das K9, aber bei dem Alter würde ich das unbedingt austauschen. Es ist alles noch im Original-Zustand mit bestens erhaltener Afromosia-Zarge, siehe Fotos. Das Pulley dreht sich, der Motor funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Plexiglas-Deckel hat natürlich seine kleinen Kratzer, ist aber in Ordnung. An der Vorderseite befinden sich Klebereste von einem Filz-Aufkleber. Die Scharniere müssen getauscht werden, das ist eine alte Linn-Krankheit. Wer hier zuschlägt sollte folgendes beachten: Sie brauchen einen neuen Tonabnehmer (oder wenigstens eine neue Nadel, es gibt eine Audio-Technica Nadel, die in den K9 Body reinpasst)Sie sollten den Riemen tauschen.Sie sollten unbedingt das Lageröl austauschen.Und der Linn muss neu justiert werden, ich empfehle sehr, das Gerät zu einem Linn-Händler in Ihrer Nähe zu bringen, der hat auch das Know-How um zu erkennen, ob evtl. die Federn des Sub-Chassis getauscht werden müssen. Ansonsten verschenken Sie sehr viel Potential des schönen Laufwerks. Und Sie haben natürlich die Option den Linn nach und nach auszubauen und ihn damit auf ein anderes klangliches Niveau zu heben. Aber das wissen Sie sicher. Wenn man nicht direkt auf das recht teure Lingo wechseln möchte, gibt es auch noch die Möglichkeit das Valhalla-Board mit einem Hercules-Board zu tauschen, eine beliebte Option in England. Die Montage kann man einfach selbst vornehmen. Man findet das Board von Hercules auch hier bei Ebay. Klingt besser, hat 45 RPM und ist deutlich günstiger als das Lingo. Ist dann aber nicht Original Linn. Sollte der Deckel genutzt werden (er verschlechtert leider den Klang, also beim Hören abnehmen), dann müssten auch die Scharniere getauscht werden. Die OVP ist nicht mehr vorhanden, aber ich garantiere den Linn sehr aufwändig zu verpacken, sodass er sicher bei Ihnen ankommt. Das Gerät stammt aus einem Nichtraucherhaushalt, Haustiere haben wir, bzw. mein Vater nicht. Wenn noch Fragen sind, melden Sie sich bitte. Und nun viel Spaß beim Bieten.
