I have sold hundreds over the last 10 years, more than almost any other dealer and if its not the highest performing Linn ever sold, I would like to know what was ! It took a £75,000 Dohmann Helix 1 to get my customer out of this deck and change. Go figure ! Here are the specifications. LP12, Skorpion, Ekos SE and Kandid boxes are all present. Owned by a perfectionist who cleans, demags every record and uses a stylus timer. The Kandid has only clocked 800 hours so lots of life left. The Tangerine Audio parts are really something special. I know Mark personally and knew Derek too (RIP & bless his soul). Nobody understood the LP12 better than Derek and these beautiful parts were his creation. The machining is superb and the solidity, rigidity and sheer weight of this deck really is something to behold, a quality and build level far beyond any regular Linn Sondek. The Tangerine modifications take the performance of the Linn to something much higher than a standard SE specfiication deck, in line with a true high end turntable That said, the owner has pushed it as far as possible with what Linn offers with the addition of the latest Radikal 2 and the recent Karousel bearing. To buy this deck new today would cost around £30,000. The Tangerine Audio parts alone retail for £8000 ! So buy yourself the best LP12 possible at almost half price. Will be shipped in 2 large boxes.
