Linn Basik Plus tonearm in fantastic condition. This Linn Basik Plus is from an Axis Turntable and has only been on that turntable with a K9 cartridge (not included). Having spent its life on a single turntable with a single cartridge it is in fantastic condition. Sadly the Axis had a psu issue which I will get fixed but for now it is just the tonearm for sale. The only issue appears to be it has lost the spade connector for the earth lead (as pictured) but it could be easily stripped or extended. Ive now uploaded additional photos of the headshell once I remove the cartridge. As expected it is pretty immaculate with the single small mark on each bolt hole from a single bolt. The original flying leads are as new with their plastic protection intact. Sorry UK postage or collection only.

The platter starts quickly and unaided, reaching 33.3 within a few seconds. A really nice original and classic afromosia fluted finish which has been well looked after. Ive cleaned and re-oiled the bearing which is in excellent order. Fitted the Linn Basik LVX Plus (great bearings, no notches) and Linn K18 cartridge which is in very good order, with a nice straight cantilever.I see so many bent ones on Ebay with sellers saying theyre in good condition! The classic Linn-Linn-Linn combination is working superbly and can be demonstrated by arrangement. Bring a record or two and listen to as many tacks as you need to (within reason). The lid has a few slight scratches (see pictures) but has no splits or cracks. The hinges work fine and more than adequately support the lid when open. Im hoping to locate a suitable bung for the armboard to blank the hole used for an Ittok arm rest. ** I have now found a suitable bung for the armboard as shown on the last picture, indicated by a red arrow ** As this is a collection only item, cash on collection only please.

Excellently working Systemdek IIX turntable, with Linn Basic Plus LV X tonearm. The motor was replaced about 10 years ago, but the TT has been unused since that time. This comes with 2 platters! The original glass platter, and a far better platter made from acrylic, and thicker than the stock platter. The acrylic platter removes some of the splashiness in the upper mids, that glass platters are known for. The Linn tonearm is in great condition, and the bearings are tight, with no play. There are minor scratches, which could easily be repainted. Includes the cover, but it has a piece broken off from the back. Let me add, that the foam wedge dampers in the springs are fairly old, and should be replaced. This is an extremely easy and cheap process, and any good audio forum should have members that can help. Cosmetically there are scratches to the dust cover and some marks (mottling) around the inner aluminum platter. The plinth and Black Ash surround have no obvious marks or scratches. Hinges on dust cover faulty so it doesnt stay up (a common problem). A good mid-level HiFi turntable. A fully functional Axis / Basik Plus combination that gives good sound reproduction, as is synonymous with Linn products. Plater spins nicely and changes from 33 to 45rpm as it should. In life, you generally get what you pay for and what you are getting here is a great turntable with a good arm and cartridge combination which will not disappoint. You may pay a little extra for one of my turntables, but you will have the peace of mind of knowing that it has been checked over, refurbished and expertly set up for optimum audio performance - and not just brought out from somebody’s loft. It’s ready to plug in and play - I’ve had this one hooked up on my reference system for a while and it works efficiently and silently and sounds superb. GETTING YOUR TURNTABLE I cannot stress enough the benefits of collecting your turntable in person, if at all possible. If you collect in person you can have a listen and everything will be set up and ‘ready to go’ - indeed, with just a few basic deconstructs to enable you to get it home safely, you’ll be in business when you get home inside 2 minutes. I make no apologies for choosing to not ‘post’ turntables. They regularly get damaged to some degree with standard couriers and it isn’t always easy for me to resolve issues at a distance. If distance / lack of transport puts collection completely out of the question, I do have a couple of contacts for ‘specialist’ couriers, who will for a price, collect the deck from me and deliver it straight to you - no hubs, no depots, no mistreatment - they are more expensive than parcelforce obviously, but I have used them very successfully to the complete satisfaction of all involved several times. LINN Basik Plus Tonearm, EXCELLENT condition complete with ORIGINAL lead, mounting bolts. This is really a lovely example of this well regarded tonearm, which is a noticeable step up in sound quality from the original Basik, due to the fixed head shell design.
