Sony PS-LX55II Full Auto Quartz Lock Linear Tracking Turntable vintage Read Condition UPDATE: I replaced the drive belt for the arm and freshened the white lithium grease and the arm is moving well now. This is a 1980s vintage turntable. The unit powers on, the buttons are all confirmed working and the tone arm now moves freely with no issues. I have not tested the phono output and the hinges are no longer strong enough to hold the cover open. I havent used this in roughly 20 years so Im selling it strictly as is. The platter spins and the quartz lock light comes on. The only known issue is the cover will not stay open due to the springs not being able to hold it up. Its been sitting in an air conditioned and smoke free closet since around 2005. Im selling it strictly as is. Cosmetically it has a lot of scuffs/scrapes, so Id rate only fair condition for being roughly 40 years old. Overview For the 80s this was a fairly unique record player with a direct drive motor, a motor driven linear tracking tone arm, and a quartz locked fully automatic playback system. The L/R phono signal is output from a roughly 3ft long, integrated RCA stereo cord. Plays 33 & 45 RPM records. It has an Audio Technica V series cartridge installed. I purchased that new in the early 90s. I dont recall the exact model # but it was a pretty reasonably priced option at the time, i.e. <$75. Device complement is 1 Motorola MRF-455 driving 8 Motorola MRF-455s This is a LOW drive amp. 4 watts in produces just under 500 bird watts out. If you drive it harder you will blow it up. Due to the nature of this device one wrong move could destroy it. Therefore I will not be accepting returns for any reason whatsoever. It has been thoroughly tested on my bench and I know it works very well including the preamp so no BS games for any reason. This amp is 40 years old and still works perfectly because the owner used it properly and did not foolishly try to beat every watt out of it. Please read full discription before purchase This cd player was a storage find its in very clean condition comes with remote powers on and everything however i am unable to do any further testing to it the problem i had with it is that the cd keeps ejecting on its own and when you press the eject button the cd opens but when you push it again to close it doesnt close you have to push it manually to close then it automatically reopens for some reason maybe could be an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing please you are buying AS IS CONDITION FOR PARTS OR REPAIR no returns accepted and all sales are final this is a rare find very nice cd player and priced to sell
