I feel like I’m at the movie theatre. I played a few movies through my laptop computer, and ran a HDMI cable from the laptop into the projector. I just ran the audio out of a separate basic $3 thin stereo audio cable, out of computer, over to a subwoofer and 5 small surround speakers (you could use a sound bar), which then cuts it off from the projector’s own speaker, and Wow! With that nice sound and large picture you really feel like you’re at the theatre. To have that big a picture on the wall you do have to have the window blinds closed, darkening the room a bit, but if you keep the picture less large, you can have more light in the room. However there is several other ways to use this. Several various connections. 15 pin for from computer, USB which I tried and that does work great as it will project photo files or movies or video from a flash drive, and I also tried hooking up an antenna to the cable connection, and watched Wheel of Fortune huge on the wall, and could watch any broadcast shows because the analog to digital converter for over the air antenna, is built into the projector. I had no trouble watching my iPhone projected on the wall with the Apple converter plugged into my iPhone, and from that run a HDMI into the projector. There is also the yellow video input, as yet another input, and a stereo audio jack too. This is an LED bulb, by the way, so it will last much longer than LCD set ups.. This LG unit originally cost $599 plus tax, which was a good deal even at that, because it’s so much better than the other projectors out there, even better than higher priced ones. And the fan in this LG is much quieter than an LCD projector, where the LCD’s get so hot, and this LED does not get real hot.
