Hi here I have my old mans Sharp VZ-2000E Vintage 80s Boombox - Cassette, Radio, Turntable/Record Player. Use to love using this as a kid just been It has been stored in my spare bedroom for many years my old man bought this fromNew and was given to me and is in partly working condition. Powers up the VU meters working all the lights are working all the buttons are there no broken power button which is a common problem. Hopefully someone can bring it back to its former glory. CASE: the outer shell has a few marks and scratches as too Be expected with a 40 year old bit of kit. No cracks or broken bits of plastic. But overall very nice looking both speakers and tweets are still working perfectly. No blown or broken speakers. The battery compartment is clean and no corrosion I haven’t tried it on the D batteries as not got any too hand but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, I bought some replacements sliders a good few years ago 4 of them need attaching properly by taking the case off which I never got round to doing but still usable as is I also have some more replacement sliders which I didn’t need which I’ll add to Sale in case any more snap off. CASSETTE: the cassette deck still works perfectly well. The tape counter belt needs replacing apart from that in perfect working order but as with any old cassette decks the belts could go at any time. TUNER: radio works and tuner works perfectly fine same as the tape deck. The Ariel doesn’t extend but still working could be easily replaced but depending on your reception in your area will work fine as is. RECORD/TURNTABLE: the turntable needs new belts for both the motor which you can hear is still working when powered up, but with no belts attached so doesn’t do anything and for the belts to make the styluses move also probably need changing to bring it back to working use. Both styluses are there and don’t need changing. The door opens perfectly without having to pull it open like others I’ve seen. The inside is clean and not Grimey check the pictures I tried to keep as much dust out the machine as possible over the years. POSTAGE: this boom box is super heavy it’s not the type of boom box your going to be carrying around on your shoulder lol. It’s 16.5KG. I expect it will be 35.00£ to ship through parcel-force will be well packed up if shipped. You can also do cash on collection in person as well after the auction is over and see it working before taking it on whichever is easiest for you. Thanks for looking!

Panasonic SG-J555L Vinyl Record Player/Cassette Tape/Radio Boombox Ghettoblaster. Used working condition, issues when playing 45 rpm discs. Tape deck tested and working well. All playback functions tested and working well. Recording function tested and working well. Choose either Radio or Phono function. With a blank tape in cassette drawer Press play and record together on tape deck, and then start source material radio or record. Have played back recording and it’s good. There is no adjustment for recording levels so it’s all a bit basic. Record player tested and working. Press button on front to open, plastic door lifts up and deck slides forward/ out. Switch on left selects 45 or 33 rpm. Unclip arm on side and lift onto disc. No return arm, so at end of disc arm start goes into the runout and stays they until you lift arm and manually return it to its rest. Tested at 45 and 33 rpm. Lps 33 rpm play well, 45 rpm speed is out and discs sound slow. Radio is working ok, picks up a few stations, reception isn’t brilliant, may be due to my location or may not. Aerial is good, nice and straight. Both speakers working well. Sound is good. There is a button marked ambience, have listened to player with it on and off, no discernible difference to my ears. Runs off mains power or batteries. Battery compartment is clean and free of rust or corrosion. Takes 8x large “D” sized 1.5v batteries, batteries not included An additional compartment on the right is for storage of mains power lead Uk mains power lead is included Colour is dark grey. Some marks and scuffs to externals of unit. Some marks to speaker grills on the front of unit. Unit measures 39.5cm across the front x 27cm high x 20.5cm deep, record drawer closed (31cm deep approx drawer open) Used working condition Please see my feedback and other listings
