What an incredibly well built and amazing sounding pre-amp… Forget about using any of the video circuitry and simply use it as a reference 5-channel or 2-channel preamp with your favorite amplifier! DSD discs and standard Red Book CDs sound remarkable. Use the balanced outputs whenever possible and sit back and enjoy some the best imaging and soundstage we have ever heard! I can’t believe this piece at 30 years and counting (!) still competes with components we have set up today… Just incredible- The fit and finish and internal components were almost $10,000.00 in the day! The remote control feels like it was made out of a solid piece of aluminum billet (actually, it was!) and everything seems to work perfectly- I wish I had room somewhere to keep this piece warmed up and used… It is now iconic and classic.
