The Foundation 4K UHD adds HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 technology to the award winning Foundation processor. Designed to be upgradeable, existing Foundation processors can be upgraded to the Foundation 4K UHD platform at the Krell facility. The Foundation 4K UHD updates 4 of the 10 HDMI 1.4a inputs to HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 capability. ARES analyzes all the speakers in the system, their location, phase, and distance from each other, to determine the best crossover frequency, delay, and more. Unlike other room EQs, ARES can be programmed to only adjust the troublesome low frequencies, leaving high frequencies unaltered. All open inputs/outputs have always been capped with Cardas Caps. See rear photo. Caps not included. RCA inputs/outputs and balanced inputs/outputs. This has only ever been powered through an Equitech $10k balanced power unit. Video processing outdated, but I never used it anyway. I have upgraded my gear and this has sat in its original box in a climate controlled environment for the past few years. I will include two original remotes, the original boxes, original power cord (which I did not use) as well as the original paperwork that came with it when I bought it in 2010. Krell KCT remote control (used). Will work with most other Krell stereo preamp products. Came from an August 2000 vintage unit that failed after many years of use. The owner decided the preamp was too costly to repair. Remote works great! Looks pretty good too. Id give it a B+ cosmetically due only to cosmetic flaws on the back side. The diamond anodized finish on the front and sides of the remote looks wonderful in person but is difficult (for me) to capture in photos. FYI: My profile states that I do not accept returns,which is true. That said, if anything I sell has a problem or defect of somekind, I will always make it right for the buyer. Any doubts?
