In the last few years, we have started collecting and storing older speakers from Klipsch, Altec, JBL, and Electro Voice, mostly Klipsch. We plan to repair or replace any defective drivers or crossovers and give the enclosures a cool custom look, but not change any of the great soundAll of the drivers sounded great. Before we started doing the veneer work, we repaired the enclosures and sprayed them in black lacquer. These have been reveneered in Figured Nigerian Satinwood. We finished off the enclosures with three coats of pre-catalyzed lacquer from Sherwin Williams, and the crossovers have been recapped.

The Klipsch Cornwall IV is an amazing speaker. The sound stage, imaging and depth is fantastic and very natural. The 3 way design with a horn mid, tweeter and 15 woofer make beautiful music together. I dont play them loudly but you dont need a very powerful amp to drive them at high levels. You can use a good quality solid state or tube amplifier since they are very efficient. The cabinets are in excellent shape but have only a few very minor scratches which are pictured here. The condition is excellent cosmetically and sonically. I have the original boxes and packing material but for shipment they require a pallot and strapping with freight shipment. I prefer a buyer within a few hundred miles of Wilmington, North Carolina and they can be delivered or picked up. Please contact me to discuss shipping if youre outside this radius.
