Kenwood hifi amplifier - KA-3020SE. Vintage integrated MM. Been stored away for a few years. Ive tester all of the inputs and headphones out out and all are working well. Bass, treble, volume and balance controls are in working order. Not been able to teast the 2 stereo speaker outputs as I no longer have any speakers. Kenwood KA-3020SE integrated amplifier - fantastic condition, fully tested & working well This is a superb amp - a high quality unit, made in Japan The KA-3020SE is an upgrade to the original KA-3020 featuring an improved output stage, a heavier duty transformer and high-capacity audiophile grade Elna For Audio reservoir capacitors - it sounds very good indeed The amplifier is in extremely good condition, almost mint - the only flaws being a small amount of rubbed-off lettering near the power button and visual evidence on the top of the case (but no scratching or scuffing) of other components stacked on it in the past All rotary controls, switches & buttons have been treated with De-Oxit and are free of crackles, dead-spots & glitches Features a Source Direct switch with red indicator, which bypasses the tone control & balance circuits to give the shortest possible signal path It has a proper phono input stage for a turntable with additional inputs for CD, Tuner and Auxiliary plus 2 record/play output/input circuits for tape or minidisc decks Two switchable sets of speaker outputs allow for 2 pairs of speakers or for bi-wiring a single pair if they have bi-wire inputs It is rated at 35w per channel with 8ohm speakers but can power difficult speaker loads down to 2ohm, where it produces 60w per channel They dont show so well in the photos but the power on and Source Direct LED indicators both work fine The KA-3020SE is highly regarded and has received many high-marks reviews in HiFi magazines etc... the following quotes are from a 2012 review in Gramophone magazine : Rendition of detail is very good, and I found I did not want to stop listening and trying yet more musical material through it Performance on the test bench is very good Selector switches for two sets of connected loudspeakers - These switches do not carry the speaker signals themselves, but operate relays near the rear-panel terminals, which should provide heavier-duty switching contacts for increased reliability and improved sound.
