This item was donated to and the sale is in aid of my local Hospice Thrift Store, where I volunteer working on electronics. I sell items here for the store that dont readily sell in house, alongside my normal vintage audio business. This is a quality set of Kenwood separates from the late 70s, with a three issues of note: this was donated with the source control knob missing and the control inoperative and the illumination on the tuner scales and meters inoperative and during testing we also noted the tone and balance controls were scratchy and need cleaning internally, straightforward to do while you are fixing the source control. We noted that by using the Tape Play 1 & 2 selections as inputs for CD or streaming digital audio we could test the amplified section and its controls, so it is correct to say that the amplifier is functional after the input selection stage. That does of course mean we havent been able to test the phono input circuit or any of the other inputs switched by the source selection control. We also noted there are two case screws missing on the amplifier. Weve judged that selling these as-is for the buyer to repair is the best option for the buyer and the store, shipping them together, carefully packed. This is being sold for parts and repair with no return unless what is photographed and described in the condition statement is not received. Up for sale is a Kenwood KA701 integrated amp in good condition. Its been working great in my music shop for the last 7 years that i have owned it. A cap is starting to go out to lunch with some popping periodically, so it will require a minor servicing. Other then that seems to function just fine and sounds great. Also, a few levers on the switches are broken off. Switches work fine. PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Any item over a pound ships UPS Ground.
