Hello everyone, Up for grabs is an excellent condition, KEF Reference Model two. All drivers are functioning and working properly. The internal dual woofers have been reformed and all aligned perfectly. See pics. Access to the drivers are via the back of the speaker terminal plate. The cabinets are in excellent shape. The grills are in good shape with some minor signs of wear. The sound is simply amazing. I’m just downsizing my collection. I am the second owner and they have been well cared for. These were manufactured in 1996 and have the updated crossover and boundary compensation adjustment, then they decided to call them series 2. So although they dont say Series 2, they do have the adjustment screw in the + LF terminal (see pics), System type is 3245 and the XO type is SP2255. (see pic) Both of these were the later versions. KEF Model 104AB Speakers - Pair - Reference - Retro Wood Vintage NO COLLECTION ( Sorry )UK MAINLAND ONLY Fully working - heavy used and could do with some TLC i bought these a while ago and love them very much, great sound and overall lovly speakers however i am no longer able to keep them due to lack of space in new location :( they do need some TLC so please study the photosi inteded in restoring them a little better then theyre but i never got the time,the last owner that had them before myself even gave me some new caps incase i wanted to change them when restoring.i dont think they need it but wouldnt hurt if youre intending on giving them a service so they will be included in the bidding. They will need to be sent individually so please bare that in mind when buyingthis will cost £15 ish per speakerso the cost of one speaker is down to the buyer and the other speaker i will pay forthe only company i could find to take such big speakers is UPSi will be using very heavy duty cardboard to protect the speakers and will be fully insured to cover the buyer and myself please can you pay within 24 hours of bidding ending ( unless arranged overwise ) if you have any questions please ask away happy bidding

KEF Model 104AB Speakers - Reference - floor/stand mounting.. These have been my go-to speakers since I bought them 20 years ago ... partner doesnt like BIG! The Kef 104 ab (Acoustic Butterworth) is a reference tweeter, mid-range driver, passive bass radiator loudspeaker.Manufacturers SpecificationsFrequency Range: 30 to 40,000 Hz.Nominal Impedance: 8 ohms.Dividing Frequencies: 45 Hz, acoustically coupled; 3,000 Hz, electricalcut-off slope 18 dB per octave.Acoustic Contour Control: Threeposition ±2 dB, centered on 1,500Hz.Sensitivity: 12.5 watts into nominal 8ohms produces 96 dB at one meterand 400 Hz in anechoic conditions.Continuous Power Rating: 20 volts (50watts) from 100 Hz to 2,500 Hz, reducing to 8 volts (8 watts) above3,000 Hz.Dimensions: 63 cm (24.8 in.) x 33 cm(13 in.) x 26 cm (10.2 in.). As the spec shows this can be successfully paired with amps from 25watts RMS upwards. Ive used it with the excellent Sansui AU217 (25W)... now alas dead! and a quad 405/303 (45W). Speakers are in excellent condition ... some evidence of front panels on passive radiators being refixed at some point before I bought them and there is some sight damage to the teak veneer ... see photos. Much sought after speaker at a low starting price ... would prefer local pick up but will package and post ... price is highish as I may need to send and pay for each separately. Also for sale on Gumtree at a fixed price.

Raymond Cooke special edition Kef reference r104/2 speakers. Due to a house move i sadly do not have enough space for these any more.These are fantastic speakers in excellent condition. Matching serial numbers L and R.The centres of the woofers (doughnuts) were done by Wembley Loudspeakers before I bought them and do not need doing again,and these later versions have rubber instead of foam surrounds which do not disintegrate.I replaced the capacitors in the crossovers with a matched set of Alcaps bought from Falcon Accoustics.I also replaced the ferrofluid in the tweeters.They are AWESOME! They ROCK!Quiet or loud they sound clean and clear,.you will hear details in your music that you never heard before.. Ive had a roomfull of people dancing to these on several occasions- they will go VERY LOUD INDEED without distortion or earache,i guess if you are looking at these you will know how legendary they are.Zoom in on the photo of the brass plaque for more info.Absolutely MEGA speakers! Ive loved them for a few years now and will be sad to see them go. Stunning veneer too if you like that sort of thing, not your usual rosewood or walnut.They arent mint but they arent far off.The dust covers are a little scruffy. and thats about the worst of it. I also Have the correct Kube in working order, shown in the last photo.It works perfectly.ive plugged it in and spent a few hours listening.i remember upgrading a couple of capacitors in it to nichicon gold ones a while back I spent a lot more tha the initial bid here and have never regretted a penny of it.you will not be disappointed.. I might deliver for fuel costs but i can only demo them in clacton.. Otherwise you will have to collect them, they weigh 70.5 lbs each..Cash on collection or bank transfer or pay through ebay but please NO PAYPAL. I WILL NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL
