From reviews: R300 measures 15.2 by 8.3 by 13.6 inches (385 by 210 by 345mm), and weighs a solid feeling 24.6 pounds (12.6 kg). You wont find too many three-way speakers in the R300s relatively compact size; the driver complement includes a 6.5-inch (165mm) aluminum woofer, and a Uni-Q concentric 5-inch (125mm) magnesium-aluminum midrange driver, with a 1-inch (25mm) aluminum dome tweeter. The Uni-Qs mission isnt merely space saving -- this point source driver produces remarkably accurate, precisely focused stereo imaging. I have a pair of KEF LS50 speakers on hand for direct comparison and not surprisingly, the two speakers sound similar, but the R300 is weightier, fuller and delivers more low-end power. Dynamics pack a bigger punch with Led Zeppelins Presence album; returning to the LS50 I miss the R300s oomph.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND LOOK AT ALL PICTURES FOR A FEW COSMETIC ISSUES ON BOTH SPEAKER CABINETS *ONLY SHIPPING TO CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES* I do not know when these speakers were manufactured as I am not the first owner (I bought them used on eBay myself). I'm only selling them because I upgraded to a pair of Zu Audio Union 6 full size tower speakers. This PAIR of original KEF R3 speakers has some minor cosmetic damage to the outside of both speaker cabinets. They sound great so if you don't mind these minor imperfections (I didn't) it's a great chance to buy into the KEF R Series speaker series for a lot less money than the $1699 retail price. Please take a very close look at all the pictures before you bid or buy! Also check your shipping estimate as these stand mount speakers are quite a bit bigger, taller, deeper and heavier than your average bookshelf speaker. Each speaker weighs in at 28 lbs (each!) without packaging! For the most part the cabinets are very clean, shiny and high gloss, however there are a few scratches and in particular there is a damaged edge on the bottom right front of one speaker and a small chip out on the top right corner of the other one. These imperfections are clearly visible in the pictures. Especially when the (magnetic) speaker grilles are on, the imperfections are not very obvious to the untrained eye. It didn't bother me at all even with the grilles off (the silver cone drivers are quite cool to look at) despite the fact that I'm usually a bit OCD and picky. I recommend you check out the sound signature and features on YouTube as there are a lot of great reviews of these speakers. They are quite neutral and linear (audiophiles like that) and have amazing clarity (mids, highs) and strong bass. There is enough bass to fill a mid size room at normal listening levels but if you're a bass head like me, play at loud volumes, and/or have a large room, you probably still want to add a subwoofer. I paired them with the magnificent KEF KC62 subwoofer (not included!) for that extra gut punch. These speakers are sold as-is (no warranty) and returns will not be accepted. Other than what is visible in the pictures there are no other cosmetic or technical defects. They do not have feet but there are 4 holes in the bottom where generic feet can be screwed in. In stead of metal feet, I used 1.25 Platinum Silicone Speaker Isolation Pads from Amazon, which works great and doesn't scratch the surface they're standing on (recommended!). The speakers come with the original magnetic speaker grilles. Please note that these original speaker grilles are not white like the speakers themselves. The grilles are a very classy medium-dark gray as shown in the pictures. They look and feel velvety, very smooth, soft and nice. On the back there is a tuned bass port and very high quality bi-wire/bi-amp capable binding posts that accept a variety of speaker cable connector types. There is a switch to connect both posts so that you can use a single speaker cable in either binding post for non-bi-wiring/amping, so you're covered for all possible scenarios. Check the manual to see if your cables (not included) will fit. I used ones with banana plugs. The user manual can be found on-line (link below). I will only ship to the Continental USA! Stunning example of these fantastic speakers, I’ve had a good look around them and can’t find any marks at all, I purchased them 6 months ago from the original owner who informed me they were less than a year old. In full working order and sound amazing through the whole range, amazing bass performance for a standmount. Come complete with grilles and inner and outer bungs and original packaging. Only selling due to upgrade, I had to save up a long time to make a worthwhile improvement, these punch well above their price tag!
