The KEF LS50 Black Edition Monitors (#5212) are bookshelf speakers that I purchsed new. I have since upgraded and wanting to sell these. LS50 Black Edition #5212 Please note that the K is missing on top of both speakers, I had some speaker covers and the K was rubbed off from them (see pictures). This does not affect the quality of the speaker in any way, Also, there is a small ding in the speakers woofer (can been seen in picture) but I was told by KEF support this does not affect the sound and would not need replacing. Please keep in mind that though they were not used much in our second bedroom, they still show signs of wear which I tried to capture in the pictures. Minus these small cosmetic imperfections, they still look and perform amazing! These are the rare Black Edition, which have a matte finish with metallic powder mixed in and the diamond cut plaque on the back of the speakers. They are in excellent pre-owned condition and I treated them very well when matched with a PS Audio Sprout100 and Martin Logan Dynamo subwoofer in a secondary listening system. Along with the manual and original packaging, the speaker cables included are MediaBridge 12AWG Ultra Series (6 feet). Both drivers are an excellent used condition pulled from a very rare pair of vintage monitor audio MA1 series 2 speakers. They both read 7.0 ohms on my multimeter. Please look over the pictures closely and consider them part of the description.

KEF LS50 2-Way Studio Monitor Speakers (Pair) - Black/Copper Both speakers are in excellent condition. Please see pictures in the list for more details. Including 2x speakers and retail box.

The XQ10 may be the smallest model in the range but if you are looking for a top notch bookshelf speaker for a small to a medium size room, this will nail it. The speakers feature Kefs award winning Uni-Q array with tangerine waveguide and a dome tweeter in a totally unconventional speaker cabinet where the sides are not flat but rounded. Compared to their earlier versions of the Uni-Q array driver, this latest version has more sparkle to the mids and highs. So in terms of detail retrieval, the XQ10 has much more to offer. Bass is not its strong point (it only has a 5.25 driver) but actually sounds pretty respectable in the right setting. Although Kef compares this to the legendary Rogers LS 3/5 monitor speaker, we find that its a more bassful version of it with sharper highs and mids than the Rogers. Is it better? I think the jury is out on this. Both are good speakers from two different era. And totally enjoyable if you are looking for a modest and intimate sounding system. Each speaker is 7.5 wide, 10 deep and 13 tall. Frequency response is 63 Hz to 55 kHz with a nominal impedance of 8 ohm and a sensitivity of 86 dB. Cosmetically, the speakers look good. Being that it is a gloss black finish, it has some polishing swirl marks and a few light scratches. Grille covers are not original ones and previous owner took it off from another KEF speakers and double taped it (they are very strongly taped on and we didnt remove it) on the speakers. We dont have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
